3rd June 2009 Site Update

Actually, it's a part update... I've added all the results and so forth from the last few games, but I can't access my emails from this terminal, so I will have to add the match reports another day.

You will also be pleased (or possibly dismayed) to find the averages online.

14th May 2009 Golden Arm
Chad Amerasinghe

Chad delivered another good bowling performance, but it was youngster Josh Vincent making his Cuddington debut against Old Fulham Prims who shone with a splendid 4-27. Good bowling, sir!

Match Report

9th May 2009 Venue Change

All of our home fixtures are now to be played at King George's Playing Field, Tudor Drive, Morden [ map ] - including today's game, so please ensure your calendars are updated. Muppets turning up at the wrong ground will be mocked in the most public way possible.

28th Apr 2009 Stockers starts season with good bowl and bat form

New Captain, Scott Barlow got off to a good start, winning the first toss of the season and choosing to bowl first on what was a grassy looking pitch. An accurate opening spell from Chad Amerasinghe and Pete Sattaur reduced Epsom to 21-2 after 10 overs. Read more...

6th Feb 2009 Firth faces new delivery

Owen Thomas Firth was born at home this morning (Friday) 10am weighing in at 7lbs and 12oz. All the family are reported to be well. Matt Stockbridge has already booked a provisional tour place for the young colt.

1st Feb 2009 New Site Design

Today sees the launch of the redesigned site. All of the original things you loved or hated about the old Cuddington web site are still available in the archives section. Whilst the site has been redesigned cosmetically, there will be some works going on in the engine room, but we will endeavour to keep you informed of any site-affecting issues.

17th Jan 2009 Annual General Meeting

The Credit Crunch officially hit Cuddington CCC as we lowered ourselves to the Princess of India dining experience. No one could argue with the price of the food or the inevitability of Scott Barlow taking on the captaincy role. An email from Pete highlighted the main issues, which included:

  • Subs now £75 per season
  • Personalised Cuddington kit available
  • Some new kit/accessories to be purchased
  • Tour/Fixtures being organised... see calendar

    2009 Officers

  • Captain: Scott Barlow
  • Vice Captains: Claude Thomas & Emil Vincent
  • Fixture Secretary: Darren Axtell
  • Social Secretary: Joe Knight - email your ideas about social events
  • Treasurer: Pete Sattaur
  • Team Organiser: Marcel Colombage - email your match availability to Marcel
  • Web Master / Tea Boy: Brendan Mills - email anything for the site/match reports

(although I do object to the "Tea Boy" title. I suggest "Tea Man" to highlight the physical strength I will bring to the role)
December 2009 End of Season Bash

The End of Season bash was held at the Sri Krishna Inn, Ewell - conveniently located at the end of Matt's road, so he was able to get to and from the restaurant with ease. The batting award was scooped by Scott after registering two decent century-scoring innings in 2008. Claude picked up the hotly contested bowling award, which was thoroughly deserved. The fielding award was given to Brendan Mills, although it was really a five-way tie. Emil was nominated for some other award to which I wasn't listening (sorry!) - Captain's pet or something.

I also caused a bit of a stir with my controversial End of Season magazine
